Thundering Heights Highlights Oct. 10th

It’s been another wonderful week at school! Our Intermediate students have been busy with volleyball tryouts, while our Juniors have been giving their all during flag rugby practices.

In classrooms, students have really settled into their routines—working hard, asking great questions, and challenging themselves. It’s also been heartwarming to see new friendships forming all around the school. 

We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend ahead!

Friday: Staff will be participating in professional learning.
Monday: The school will be closed for the holiday.

If you’re celebrating, Happy Thanksgiving! We hope the weekend brings you time to relax and enjoy the company of family and friends.

HALLOWE’EN- Dress Up Day

Get ready for some fun! On October 31st, students can choose to dress up in a costume; wear orange and black; or just come in their comfy, everyday clothes. Whatever makes them feel happy and comfortable is perfect!

For our Kinders:
They’ll be heading out on a trip that day, but first they’ll do a mini parade in the Kinder Courtyard before getting ready for their adventure!

For Grades 1–8:
Students will take part in a costume walk around the school! Families are welcome to wave and cheer from the Drop Zone fence as classes walk along the sidewalk. (We’ll share the exact time in the next newsletter!)

Activities & Fun:
Our Lightning Leaders helped plan what the day will look like, and each division will have some exciting activities! Students will even get to visit other classrooms and join in on games or crafts with different teachers—a fun way to meet more of our amazing staff!

A few friendly reminders: Please keep props (like wands or toy weapons) and masks at home so nothing gets lost, broken, or too spooky for our littlest learners. It’s a good idea to pack a change of clothes, just in case your child decides to switch out of their costume later in the day.
We can’t wait to see all the smiles, creativity, and school spirit on this special day!
