Thundering Heights Highlights
FROM THE OFFICE
Our Intermediate sports teams were in full swing this week! Whether it was Boys Rugby, Co-Ed Rugby, or Co-Ed Baseball, our athletes gave it their all. More importantly, they represented our school with incredible fair play, cheering each other on and proving that being a good teammate is just as important as the final score. We are so proud of these teams!
Today, we took a moment to celebrate our amazing Educational Support Staff. These are the dedicated individuals who work every day to make Thundering Heights such a wonderful place to learn and grow. We thank you! You show our students they matter every single day, and we appreciate you more than words can say!
Get those running shoes ready! Our school's Track and Field Day is happening this Wednesday for our Grade 4 to 8 students. Students will compete in various events for a chance to represent Thundering Heights at the DSBN meet this June! We’re crossing our fingers for sunshine and blue skies. Please remember to bring a water bottle and wear sunscreen!
Our Grade 3 students have officially begun their EQAO assessments. We are so impressed by their focus and how hard they are working to "show what they know." Keep up that fantastic momentum, Grade 3s! Looking ahead, our Grade 6 students will begin their assessments next week. We know you’re going to do a great job!
As the very first students to graduate from Thundering Heights, the Class of 2026 wants to leave behind more than just memories. We are thrilled to announce a Special Legacy Tuck Shop to fund a permanent gift for our school community.
To make this vision a reality, we are dedicating all profits from our next Tuck Shop to this project:
When: Tuesday, May 19th
Goal: 100% of proceeds go toward the Grade 8 Inaugural Legacy Gift.
Please consider supporting our oldest leaders on that day as they work toward leaving a lasting mark on our school.
